Pune Metro
The idea of the metro was first moved in 2013 with the aim of strengthening public transport. However, it was delayed because of a political dispute over credit between UPA and Aaghadi governments. The metro project was approved within a short period of three years after BJP came to power in Delhi and Mumbai. The work on three routes is in progress. Efforts are in progress for the extension of the metro up to Katraj. Report on Swargate-Katraj is at the final stage.
